Continuing the legacy
of one great business

We are on a mission to acquire, operate, and build upon the success of a remarkable business — one that leaders like you have built with passion, integrity, and dedication — guiding it into its next chapter of growth.

Lemont Partners takes its name from the French words le mont meaning ‘the mountain’ — a symbol of strength and reaching new heights. It reflects the qualities we seek in a business: resilient and positioned for growth.

What makes us different

Full focus on a single business

We’re not building a portfolio or managing multiple investments. Our sole focus is on acquiring and leading one exceptional business for the long term, dedicating 100% of our energy to its success.

Honoring legacy, driving growth

We’ll take care of your employees, customers, and culture while growing the business sustainably. You can trust us to carry forward what you’ve built with care, integrity, and hard work.

Active leadership you can trust

Our founder brings extensive experience advising major corporations and a family legacy in small business, complemented by investors with decades of experience leading companies and mentoring CEOs. Together, we are ready to guide a business into its next chapter.

A thoughtful, tailored transition

Every business is unique, and so is our approach. We’ll work closely with you to ensure a smooth handoff that meets your goals and preserves what makes your business special.

Our founder

Jineet Gandhi

Jineet grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. Watching his family overcome challenges to build successful businesses instilled in him the values of hard work, resilience, and ambition—and inspired his dream of leading a business of his own.

For many years, Jineet has dedicated his career to understanding what makes businesses thrive. He spent over seven years at McKinsey & Company advising clients on growth and developing the skills to lead a company. Jineet holds an undergraduate degree from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Inspired by his family’s legacy and passion for business, Jineet founded Lemont Partners to acquire and lead a successful business through its next phase of growth. He understands that selling a business is deeply personal and is committed to creating a win-win outcome for owners.

Jineet and his wife, Anjali, live in the suburbs of Detroit, where they both grew up. They recently got married in Mexico and celebrated the new chapter with travels across Thailand, Singapore, and Switzerland. Outside of work and travel, Jineet enjoys reading and staying active (his latest endeavor is learning golf!).

If you’re considering the next chapter for your business, Jineet would love to hear your story and discuss how Lemont Partners can build on your success.

Our process

We understand that selling your business is a significant decision, and we are committed to making the process as seamless and transparent as possible.

Here’s how it works:

  • We begin with a confidential conversation to learn about your business, its history, and your goals for the future. Our aim is to understand what makes your company unique and how we can build on your legacy. At the same time, we’ll share more about who we are, our approach, and why we may be the right successor for your business.

  • If there’s mutual interest, we’ll work together to evaluate whether a partnership is the right fit. We’re eager to meet you in person to discuss your priorities, the business’s strengths, opportunities for growth, and an estimated valuation for the business.

  • Once we agree on the key terms, we’ll formalize our shared vision in a Letter of Intent (LOI). This non-binding agreement outlines the proposed structure of the transaction, ensuring alignment before moving forward.

  • During this phase, we’ll conduct a thorough review of the business to confirm its financial, operational, and strategic health. Our goal is to minimize disruption to your operations while building trust throughout the process.

  • After completing due diligence, we will work collaboratively to finalize the transaction. Once the acquisition is complete, we’ll partner with you and the team to ensure a smooth transition, ensuring the ongoing success of the business.
